Sunny Hills Art Gallery
The focus of this gallery is to maintain a spacious, yet occupied display while still making room for socialization. The materials chosen are influenced by traditional Italian interiors with a modern twist. The familiar materials help to enhance both the traditional and modern art. Although, the design of space is fairly traditional, the art work within is exhibiting explicitly women and queer made artists. This gallery is meant to bring representation to a variety of different communities where it is due.
Inspiration
Sergio Fiorentino’s work inspired many design choices within the Sunny Hills Art Gallery. Fiorentino is an artist who creates paintings that reference traditional art styles within the modern era. He incorporates them within his home in a similar manner. Combining mid-century modern fixtures with traditional materials offers an opportunity for a sophisticated design.
